DEA and FBI Seize $10M in Crypto From Sinaloa Cartel in Major US Drug Bust
US law enforcement agencies have escalated their crackdown on drug trafficking networks, confiscating over $10 million in cryptocurrency linked to the Sinaloa cartel. The operation, spearheaded by the DEA and FBI, targeted the cartel's Miami-based financial infrastructure as part of a broader effort to disrupt illicit crypto transactions.
Nationwide seizures since January 2025 include 44 million fentanyl pills and 201,500 pounds of cocaine, alongside 2,100 arrests. Attorney General Pamela Bondi framed these coordinated actions as critical to combating drug-related violence and overdose epidemics.
